GF721 Thermal Imager
A game-ready GF721 Thermal Imager created for my Prop Art course.
Project Overview
This thermal imager was created as a demonstration project for one of the prop art assignments I gave to my students, serving as an example of both the workflow and expectations for the project.
The goal was to take a real-world piece of equipment from reference through a complete game-ready pipeline, focusing on clean hard-surface modeling, efficient topology,
For this project, ZBrush was intentionally not used. The asset was created entirely through traditional box-modeling techniques to demonstrate the foundational hard-surface workflow taught early in the course. Later projects expand upon these fundamentals by introducing tools and workflows such as ZBrush, Marvelous Designer, and other specialized software used throughout modern game art production.
